The Carpaterra Association is organizing the 7th edition of the 'Oak Day' Festival in the village of Mercheașa, Homorod commune, Brașov county.
The festival is dedicated to the village's main attraction, the Ancient Oak of Mercheașa (estimated to be over 900 years old, with a circumference of 9.3 m).
We invite art and nature lovers to the event, which will feature the following activities: guided tours and stories about the village, the oak pasture, and the fortified church, exhibitions, and a 'treasure hunt' competition. Throughout the day, you can admire pottery, blacksmithing, and ancient music workshops. For those seeking spectacular activities, hot air balloon rides will also be available upon request. In the afternoon, in the courtyard of the fortified church, 'Soul Serenade' and 'Moise & Friends' will delight us with their performances.
