WHAT IS FAIR DAY (like nothing Făgăraș has ever seen)? An open-air cultural and community event, organized in the heart of summer, in one of the most vibrant places in the area – the Făgăraș Fortress. Over 15 Romanian, Saxon and Hungarian communities from Țara Făgăraș and the Transylvanian Hills (“from Transylvania”) join forces for an authentic experience: living traditions, pure crafts, identity gastronomy, cultural souvenirs. An event without commercial, visual or sound compromises – where good taste and good taste are the supreme criteria.

WHAT MAKES THIS FAIR TRULY SPECIAL?

- Careful selection of participants: no kitsch, no clichés, only authentic cultural expressions: we will meet with manufactured products in: Făgăraș, Avrig, Sâmbăta de Jos, Sâmbăta de Sus, Drăguș, Beclean, Calbor, Boholț, Felmer, Șona, Mândra, Șercaia, Hălmeag, Veneția de jos, Grid.
- Live exhibition of folk costumes, coordinated by the IIA Călătoare Association – almost 200 people from the villages of Țării Făgărașului will proudly wear their authentic clothes and tell their story
- Collection of souvenirs derived from local traditional cultural expressions – objects made in 15 villages, within a creative process supported by the Mândra Chic workshop, promoter of the idea of ​​contemporary dowry.
- Identity gastronomy and emblematic tastes, brought back to our attention by chef Daniela Graură, together with women from diverse communities.
- Living craft demonstrations – traditions preserved through gesture, transmission and skill.
