We invite you to join us on Saturday, July 6th, at 12:00 PM, for the opening of the painting exhibition 'GM Cantacuzino: Captive Between Worlds,' which will take place at the Charles III House, Viscri. Ilinca Cantacuzino, the architect's granddaughter, will be with us, along with Madalina Mirea, the exhibition curator.

Together, we will celebrate this remarkable but unfortunately lesser-known personality of interwar Romania, admiring his paintings inspired by the Moldovan landscapes he cherished, as well as his travels along the Black Sea coast, in France, and the Middle East. We will catch a glimpse of the man behind the architect, professor, and writer George Matei Cantacuzino through the stories of Ilinca Cantacuzino, and by watching the documentary 'Letters from George,' which explores the tragic fate he endured during the communist era.
