Dear gourmet and lover of local experiences, we have prepared a very special winter event for you in the Transylvanian Highlands, at the local gastronomic point Copsa Mare 122 ❄️
You will experience a colorful festive atmosphere, with traditional dishes, mulled wine, (re)creative workshops, carols and folk songs on guitar chords.
Expect fairy-tale decorations, cookies enjoyed by the stove and the scent of semolina liqueur freshly taken out of the oven. We will decorate like in your favorite Christmas movies, serve pancakes and taste local honey and jams 🥞🍯
It will be a 𝐛𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐝 experience in the picturesque village of Copsa Mare, in a location of undeniable beauty.
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM, we open the doors of the blue house in the heart of Transylvania, located just 2 km from the UNESCO Biertan site, not far from the entrance to Via Transilvanica - Terra Saxonum sector.
With us you will discover new tastes, crafts kept alive and local people, who carry forward the story of the Transylvanian village through beautiful crafts and priceless stories.
Moreover, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique experience of the Christmas market in Biertan, at the end of our event 🎄

What to expect?
🔸 Presentation of the local gastronomic point Copsa Mare 122;
🔸 Pancakes with matured cheese, made on the spot by our friend Istvan Varga from the Cheese Factory;
🔸 Workshop on decorating and savoring sweet cakes, with Ana;
🔸 Workshop on felting, supported by Mr. Ilie Iordan, local folk craftsman;
🔸 Christmas decoration making workshop, dedicated to toddlers and prepared by Cristina & Lia;
🔸 Folk melodies and carols sung live on the guitar by our good friend Feri Teglaș;
🔸 Carol evening, together with the little carol singers from the village;
🔸 Traditional hot dishes: homemade chicken soup with homemade noodles, sarmale with sour cream and polenta, semolina liqueur;
🔸 End of the event: we recommend visiting the Christmas market in Biertan.
Throughout the event you will be able to buy:

🎁 Christmas decorations made from recyclable materials from Cristina Holom.
🎁 Honey and miniature wooden toys from Mr. Ioan Cristian Bica, the Orthodox priest in the village;
🎁 Jams, sweets and syrups from the Cocoș Family, local producers in the village;
🎁 Assortments of matured cheese from the Cheese Factory;
🎁 Handicrafts made of felt from the village's folk craftsman, Mr. Ilie Iordan, who still keeps this ancient craft alive.
