Join us for a wonderful Autumn Saturday on October 4th, at 10 AM. We open the doors of the blue house in the heart of Transylvania, located just 2 km away from the Biertan UNESCO site, not far from the entrance to Via Transilvanica - Terra Saxonum sector.

You will discover local people, crafts kept alive, traditional architecture well preserved over time and you will enjoy nature, culinary experiences with local products and the Saxon cultural heritage.
The program of the day
The event will take place between 𝟏𝟎:𝟎𝟎 – 𝟏𝟔:𝟎𝟎, and we will enjoy the following activities together:
🔸 A welcome brunch with local products: bacon paste, bread with sausage, meatballs, platter with local cheeses, seasonal vegetables, salad;
🔸 presentation of Copșa Mare 1222 + guided tour of the farm during which you will learn detailed information about the importance of a local gastronomic point in terms of the utilization of food from peasant families;
🔸 cheese-making workshop (fresh cheese), prepared by our friend István Varga from the Manufactura de Brânză (Cheese Manufacture);
🔸 bread-making workshop in a wood-fired oven, with Simona & Sile, our dear hosts;
🔸 crafts workshop supported by Mr. Ilie Iordan;
🔸 guided visit to the fortified church in Cops¦a Mare;
🔸 lunch: cabbage soup, pork goulash with pickle salad, lychee with semolina, tea, coffee, hot sauce, water;
🔸 End of the event: each participant receives a culinary treat upon departure (freshly made curd and bread);
Throughout the event you will be able to buy:
🔸 honey, beekeeping products and miniature wooden toys, from Mr. Ioan Cristian Bica, the Orthodox priest from the village of Copșa Mare, passionate about beekeeping and all that care for bees means.
🔸 Jams, sweets and syrups from the Cocoș Family, local producers.
Ticket price:
- adults: 180 lei
- children 6-12 years: 90 lei
- children under 6 years: free
