The VIth edition of the National Ecotourism Fair in partnership with the Astra Museum, on the occasion of the Night of the Museums.

The National Ecotourism Fair, spring edition, organized at the Astra Museum, between May 17th and 19th, in the area of the Country Fair.

Friday is all about gastronomy! We're expecting local specialties from various corners of the country, from destinations certified for ecotourism. It tempts us to visit the fair with a Bucovinean soup from Ciocănești, smoked trout in fir tree and mountain cheeses from Țara Dornelor, freshly baked Nutts & Eggs Sibiu sponge cake, sheep pastrami and stew from Porumbacu, spring greens and fruits from Grădina Verde in Șelimbăr, breads spread with parsley pesto, chickpeas, pickled ginger and celery puree from Sibiu Food Hub. All accompanied by a refreshing SB beer from Săliște.
Saturday comes with another major event, the Night of the Museums, so all fair visitors benefit from free entry on May 18th, from an extended program from 12:00 to 00:00 and from a unique concert by the Subcarpați band.
Sunday will be a perfect day for family activities, creative workshops, nature experiences, sports activities, and moments of folklore intertwined with workshops to learn traditional crafts.
Over 50 producers from across the country will be available to lovers of environmentally friendly tourism, as well as the culinary traditions of local producers from different regions of the country.
The Ecotourism Fair is an event organized within the "Years of Hiking" program, initiated and funded by the Sibiu County Council, in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. The main goal is to improve hiking infrastructure in the county and to promote activities specific to ecotourism.
