On Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM, we invite you to the first exhibition hosted by Rezidenţa Artistică 110 in the house currently undergoing restoration, located in Şona. The SCAI exhibition brings together contemporary artworks proposed by five Romanian artists concerned with the intersection between visual art and artificial intelligence from a critical perspective.
Radu Carnariu, Mihai Grecu, David Lazar, Cezar Mocan and Nicoleta Mureș explored this topic in Berlin (May-July 2025) and the works resulting from their research meet in Şona, in a collective exhibition curated by Cristiana Ursache.
"A pretext for confrontation. In a house in Şona, witness to a rural world with slow rhythms, fragments of global realities gather: Lisbon, London, Paris, Madrid and Iași. This overlap is not neutral, it produces dissonances, contrasts and open questions. How can art be anchored in a world where territories, environments and bodies are crossed by invisible, algorithmic forces? What does it mean to create in the era when technology can take over the role of author?", details Cristiana Ursache, curator of the SCAI exhibition.
