The taste of the Transylvanian tradition takes centre stage at the Saxon Lichiu Celebration, an event dedicated to one of the most cherished specialities of Transylvania’s Saxon villages.

Also known as Hanklich or Hencleș, Saxon lichiu is prepared according to recipes passed down from one generation to the next, with soft dough, sour cream, eggs and delicate flavours reminiscent of festive meals from times gone by.
