Rezidența Transilvanica 2.0 promotes new fortified churches with the help of music and new technologies
The Romanian Musicians' Performing Creation Union (UCIMR) announces the concerts of the second edition of the Rezidența Transilvanica 2.0 project.

It continues to value the Saxon heritage of southern Transylvania through art and technology. Inspired by the fortified churches of Mediaș and Axente Sever, two composers synthesized their experiences through musical notes.

Thus, for the second consecutive year, "Residence Transilvanica" aims to promote fortified Transylvanian churches with the help of music and new technologies, along an imaginary cultural route - in the concert hall, virtually - in the online or physical environment - at step by step, in a charming itinerary of a hike with artistic stops.

This summer, composers Paul Scully (Ireland) and Alexandru Anastasiu (Romania) were invited to visit Transylvania in search of new sources of inspiration.
After a time spent in Mediaș and Axente Sever - settlements that house old fortified churches - in which they discovered the stories of the two edifices with the help of the cultural guide Ioana Pătrășcoiu, they synthesized all this experience into two new musical creations for a solo instrument and the ensemble of percussion ICon Arts.
