Fuga Lolelor Cincu and Museum in Progress invite you to a film screening!

On Wednesday, May 1st, at 5:00 PM, at the Museum within the Fortified Church in Cincu, the screening of "Charles and his Island of Fantasy" will take place in the presence of Japanese director Ayumi Hasegawa. The film runs for 58 minutes and 30 seconds, and admission is free, but seating is limited. To reserve a spot, send an email with the subject "REZERVARE" to fuga.lolelor@gmail.com.

"Charles and his Island of Fantasy" is a documentary directed by Ayumi Hasegawa and produced by WOWOW Inc. in 2017. The film follows photographer Charles Fréger during his explorations in Japan, documenting 58 carnival festivals over three years, thereby building a bridge between European and Japanese heritage. After the screening, there will be an informal discussion with director Ayumi Hasegawa.

Director Ayumi Hasegawa began his career at a TV production house in Japan, working mainly in news. Later, he became a freelancer, directing documentaries on historical and cultural themes. In 2017, his film "Charles and his Island of Fantasy" was nominated for the Grand Prix at the Japanese Federation of Commercial Broadcasting and the Asian Television Awards.
