During Haferland Week 2025, the Women's Neighborhood of Saschiz awaits you at a cultural picnic with local dishes, refreshments and brass band music!

On Friday, August 1st, after the organ concert in the Evangelical church, the hike to the fortress and the guided tour of the fortress, participants are invited to sit down at the table under the open sky – accompanied by live brass band music, brought by the Kulturwerk der Siebenbürger Sachsen.
Cold snacks, based on local ingredients, prepared by the members of the Women's Neighborhood of Saschiz, will be offered to registered participants at the picnic!
All funds raised go to the "Neighborhood Food" canteen!
By participating in this picnic, you enjoy a cultural and community event, but above all, you directly support the development of the community canteen Bucate din Vecinătate, a project of the Women's Neighborhood dedicated to free hot meals for students in the Saschiz commune.
