PIAZZOLLA TANGO NIGHTS is a heartfelt project dedicated to the great composer Astor Piazzolla, who revolutionized Argentine tango music. Indrei Irina (piano) and Indrei Robert (bandoneon) have been a couple both on stage and in real life for over 8 years. They perform under the auspices of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Romania, gracing the stages of Philharmonics across the country and Argentine tango festivals in Romania and abroad.

These professional musicians, graduates of the Cluj-Napoca Academy of Music and the Bucharest Academy of Music, bring the magic of Argentine tango music to a wide audience. They have performed at the invitation of the Royal House at Peleș Castle, as well as in Vienna and Munich. Robert is the only Romanian who plays the bandoneon, the instrument specific to Argentine tango, within an orchestra.

They are the founders of the "Cluj Tango Orchestra" Association, the first Argentine tango orchestra in Transylvania, composed of professional Romanian musicians who are members of the Transylvania State Philharmonic or the National Opera of Cluj-Napoca.

In the program, you will hear the most beautiful works by the great Astor Piazzolla, such as "Oblivion," "Libertango," "Adios Nonino," "Preparense," and "Suite Lumiere," as well as other iconic pieces of the genre like "El Choclo," "La Cumparsita," and "Por una Cabeza."

Seating for this recital is limited to 100 chairs to ensure the smooth running of the event. Therefore, we warmly invite you to an Argentine tango extravaganza, where you will also enjoy spectacular moments of Argentine tango dance!
