Dear hikers,
We invite you to a circuit hike on the Via Transilvanica, between Richiș and Biertan, through the spectacular landscapes of the Târnava Mare area.
We will start from Richiș and follow the Via Transilvanica route to Biertan, crossing gentle hills, pastures and forests specific to this region. We will not go all the way to Biertan, but we will close the circuit by turning right and following the Mediaș Marathon Bike route until returning to Richiș.
At the end of the hike, those who wish can spend the rest of the day at the Omul Verde Festival in Richiș, where the organizers propose numerous activities: brunch with local products, guided visit to the fortified church, organ concert and other experiences specific to the area.
The hike is suitable for all people, with or without hiking experience, who have a minimum of physical condition.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We will meet at 08:30, in the Kaufland parking lot on Calea Șurii Mari, Sibiu.
From there we will travel by personal cars on the route: Sibiu – Bârghiș – Richiș.

Distance: 12.5 km
Elevation difference: 390 m
Route difficulty: low to medium (due to the distance)
Hiking duration: approximately 4 – 4.5 hours

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Hiking shoes or boots with grippy soles
Clothes adapted to the season
Technical t-shirt
Hiking pants
Waterproof top layer
Change t-shirt
Small hiking backpack
Water bottle (minimum 1–1.5 liters)
Snacks for the route (fruit, energy bars, etc.)

TRANSPORTATION
We can provide round-trip transportation for a limited number of people. To reserve your spot, please contact us by phone at 0722 177 001, after completing the registration process.
After completing the registration process, the guide will create a WhatsApp group on which we will organize and redistribute ourselves in the cars of those who come by personal car. Registration does not guarantee a place in a car, these will be distributed upon departure, depending on the available seats.
Transportation costs will be borne jointly by the occupants of each car, upon agreement with the driver.

Participation in the activities within the Omul Verde Festival is done separately, according to the organizers' conditions.
The tour will take place with a minimum of 10 paying participants.
Children over 5 years old can participate if they are individually accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route in relation to the child's ability.
