You have the opportunity to visit the fortified Evangelical Church of Ruja, located near Agnita, in Sibiu County. It has its origins in a Romanesque basilica from the 13th century. The current Gothic building was built in the 15th century, dedicated to Saint Magdalene, and modern archaeological research in April 2002 has brought additional clarifications regarding the foundations and construction stages.

Following the archaeological excavations, specialists opened two excavation boxes (on the outside of the south side and inside the tower).

The large bell in the tower dates back to 1500, and the Baroque organ was created in 1803 by Samuel Joseph Maetz.
