The church in Richiș came to the evangelicals around 1500, with the Lutheran Reformation, but was built two centuries earlier by the Cistercian Order of Cârța. Inside the church there are elements that come from the areas of Celtic Europe, which brought with them the love for the ancient goddess of the Earth and the Green Man Archetype.

During the visit, the emphasis will be on promoting the meanings of the Green Man, with an adaptation to current themes: environmental protection, love for nature, the rebirth of nature, natural elements as primordial over artificial ones.

The above-mentioned heritage objective is part of the project "Revitalization of the Richiș Fortified Church for Sustainable Tourism and Community Development", which proposes the use of "soft" tourism centered on the heritage objective of the Evangelical Church Ensemble in Richiș and the use of the local historical and current specificity of the locality in order to support the development of the local community, both economically, socially and educationally.
