On the occasion of the Night of Village Museums, in Cincșor, you will have an opportunity to delve into Saxon culture and heritage, through guided tours, workshops and exhibitions hosted by the fortified church, which has become a cultural church.

What can you visit?
In the church: the exhibition "Wearing Transylvania: Saxon Presence" brings together historical Saxon costume ensembles from southern Transylvania, from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with archive images and contemporary photographs, as well as reproductions of paintings from the Brukenthal National Museum's heritage, proposing a reading of textile heritage in relation to the space, architecture and material culture of the Saxons. The pieces on display come from the DRĂGAICA ROȘIE Collection of Traditional Costumes and Textiles, curated by arch. Ana Maria Crișan.

In the sacristy: the exhibition "Old Glass from Transylvania and Western Europe. 18th-20th Centuries" brings together objects of everyday use, ceremonial use, but also decorative pieces, produced in glassworks such as Porumbacu de Sus, Arpașu de Sus, Cârțișoara, Avrig, Valea Zălanului and Pădurea Neagră, alongside productions from Bohemia, Austria or Scotland.

From 11:00 and 16:00, children are invited to cyanotype workshops. Inspired by the richness of decorative motifs on the Saxon costumes and textiles present in the exhibition, we draw, then experiment with an old photographic process, using only sunlight and a little chemistry! We create images by printing photographic negatives and other small objects (plants and flowers, textiles, etc.) through contact photo printing.

From 14:00 and 19:00, guided tours of the fortification and exhibitions take place.
