Night of museums at the "Vatra Satului" Museum House, Săcădate, just a few km north from Avrig

You will discover an important collection of ethnography, to which is added a valuable fund of photography, which immortalizes local identity landmarks. Materials from donations and acquisitions are exhibited both in the building dated in the first half of the 19th century (3 rooms), as well as in the annex (the barn) and the garden of the house. Museum objects are grouped into several categories: folk wear, ceramics, agriculture and agricultural tools, household objects with emphasis on traditional occupations (agriculture, animal husbandry), local handicrafts, religious book and photography. The most valuable component of the Museum House is represented by the local folk costume, which includes pieces of women's, men's and children's clothing, in an evolutionary process.
