On the Night of Museums in the Villages, we invite you to Fofeldea, where you can visit:

– Bust of August Treboniu Laurian, founding member of the Romanian Academy and son of the village of Fofeldea;

– Fofeldea Village Museum, at Vila Cordiana no. 189-190 – considered to be one of the first banks in Transylvania, named after Daniel. R. Cordescu, "a man of importance in the history of the village", who acts on several levels, in the cultural, school, church and economic fields, then becomes the first banker in the area, and the bank an engine of the development and support of all the communities on Hârtibaciu Valley!

– Peasant household – Casa Vecerzan Viorica no. 35-36, with elements of vernacular architecture;

– Guided tour in the village to the Church with the Temple of "Saint Basil the Great", historical monument class A: the painting of the church, completed in 1814, was executed by the Grecu brothers from Săsăuş, in Byzantine style. Here we meet the "yellow of Fofeldea", considered by specialists to be similar to the "blue of Voroneț", for the uniqueness of the shade used by the painters. The community of Fofeldea will symbolically take over the baton from the community of Ighișu Vechi for the organization of the second edition of the Night of Museums in Villages in Hârtibaciului Plateau in 2024, on the stage of the festivities in Ighiș!
