About 10 km from Sighisoara, (re)discover a Transylvanian village from another era in a small cottage-museum and ethnographic collection called "Boiu - Traditions and Customs", that opened in 2022.

A local guide will accompany you throughout the collection that includes furniture, personal items, photographs, old books, crockery, fabrics, hemp weaving tools (complete and functional), household tools, Romanian and Hungarian women's and men's summer and winter costumes, old icons, fabrics, costume pieces that we received as a donation, but also as a loan to be exhibited, from our fellow citizens.

All are presented in the form of a peasant household inhabited from the interwar period, in a cottage built and repaired using traditional techniques (bulking, gluing with earth, dung and straw), whitewashed and furnished with the elements of the collection.

The children from the village will present artistic moments with songs and games in the languages of the community they represent.

Groups will consist of a maximum of 12 people per visit.

The visit lasts between 20 and 30 minutes.

Tour is available in Romanian, English and French.

There is no entrance fee, but donations can be left and small hand-stitched bookmarks, teas, herbal salves and tinctures, syrups, honey and jams can be bought – the money raised will go towards the repair the summer kitchen of the cottage, to later enter the visiting circuit.
