On 29 August 2026, Fofeldea joins the Night of Museums in Rural Areas with an event dedicated to local memory and heritage. This year’s edition brings Ioan Stoica, an aviator born in Fofeldea, back into the spotlight, 100 years after his attempt, together with pilot Gheorghe Bănciulescu, to set a new non-stop flight record.

Visitors are invited to discover the village through a route connecting some of its representative landmarks: St. Basil the Great Church, Casa Cordiana and the Vila Cordescu Museum. It is an opportunity to explore the stories, people and places that have shaped the identity of Fofeldea and the Hârtibaciu Valley.
