The village of Chirpăr is located in the Hârtibaci Valley. In the center of the village is the Evangelical Church C.A., a historical monument dating back to the 13th century, originally developed as a Romanesque basilica and fortified in subsequent eras.

MEMORIA LUCIS – Memory of Light. At the end of August, as part of the “Long Night” event, the fortified church in Chirpăr will launch a series of site-specific lighting interventions, designed for the long term. The projections and illuminations enter into dialogue with the historical architecture and allow a new way of perceiving the facade and the altar. Light thus becomes a means of expression that speaks of renewal and hope and that, beyond its ephemeral character, connects the past with the present.
