The community of Fofeldea symbolically took over the "baton" from the community of Ighișu Vechi for the organization of the second edition of the Night of Museums in Villages in the Hârtibaciului Plateau in 2024.
We invite you to a journey through the village, in the footsteps of the painters Frații Grecu. You will be able to visit:
Bust of August Treboniu Laurian, founding member of the Romanian Academy and son of the village of Fofeldea;
Fofeldea Village Museum, located in Vila Cordiana no. 189-190, considered to be one of the first banks in Transylvania, so named after Daniel. R. Cordescu, "a man of importance in the history of the village", who acts on several levels, in the cultural, school, church and economic fields, then becomes the first banker in the area, and the bank an engine of the development and support of all the communities on Hârtibaciu Valley!
Peasant household – Casa Vecerzan Viorica no. 35-36, with elements of vernacular architecture;
Guided tour in the village to the Church with the Shrine of "Saint Basil the Great", historical monument of class A - The painting of the church, completed in 1814, was executed by the Grecu brothers from Săsăuș, in the Byzantine style, highlighting the "yellow Fofeldea", considered by specialists to be similar to "Voroneț blue", for the uniqueness of the shade used by master painters.
Presentation of Americans: The Great Migration, "Roads and destinies, Between Fofeldea and Milwaukee" written by Daniela Tania Veltan, daughter of the village of Fofeldea;
Fofeldea and Great Union;
10 Great Hârtibăceni: Hero aviator Ioan Stoica;
Photo exhibition;
Book launch: "History of Hârtibaciului Valley" written by Prof. Mircea Dragan-Noisteteanu (900 pages, 2 volumes).
