On May 21, 2022, during the 8th stage of the Transilvania Legends ultra-marathon, from 10:00 we start the Citadel Marathon.
From the heart of the Transylvanian Highlands, from the beautiful village of Mălâncrav, at over 400 meters altitude with running on country roads, on long roads through the forest, on hills and coasts, meadows and up to Mediaș.

🏃🏻 The start for the Citadel marathon will take place in Mălâncrav, at 10:00 in the morning, immediately after the technical meeting.
The 41.8 km route takes you on country roads, on long roads through the forest, on hills and coasts, meadows and areas with asphalt through villages.
📍 From Biertan, the starting point for the half marathon race, the route will become more difficult and challenging as the long distance you will have to travel to Mediaș will be one where you will run on asphalt roads. You will cross places with steep ascents and descents, through areas of forest with wildlife, curves and detours of steep peaks, country roads, meadows and asphalt.
Arrival is in the center of Mediaș, one of the 7 fortress cities in Romania.

Time limit: 9h for the marathon and 5h for the half marathon
