Step into the mysterious world of healing plants!

Join us for a hike across the hills of the village of Alma Vii, where you can reconnect with the ancient wisdom of plants and their healing power. As we approach the summer solstice, plants reach their highest concentration of active compounds. It is a perfect time to gather, with gratitude, the gifts offered to us by Mother Earth.

Medicinal plants specific to this time of year include wild rose blossoms, wormwood, St John’s wort, yarrow, red clover, plantain and elderflower… and perhaps we may even come across the magical **Sânziene** (lady’s bedstraw) flowers !

What will we do?

* Mindful hiking — We will use all our senses to allow ourselves to be drawn towards the plants we need. We will listen to the plants and their messages.
* Plant identification — We will explore the “Doctrine of Signatures”, an ancient approach according to which a plant’s shape, colour and habitat reveal its properties.
* Sacred and responsible foraging — We will learn how to approach a plant respectfully: how to ask for permission, how to make an offering of gratitude and how to harvest only what is truly offered to us.
* The mythology of medicinal plants — We will rediscover the magic of ritual plants in Romanian and universal traditions, and the ways in which they were used for cleansing spaces, energetic protection and conscious dreaming.
* The plant circle — We will stop at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the mountains and share our experiences in a circle.

There will also be breaks for foraging, photographs and sandwiches!

* Meeting point in Alma Vii: 9:30 a.m., at the base of the entrance to the fortified church
