Join us for a scenic hike along the Via Transilvanica, from Mediaș to Bazna, with a refreshing stop to pick wild garlic (leurda) and a delicious lunch at the end of the trail, at the charming Bassen Pension.

On Saturday, April 26, we'll embark on a leisurely hike from Mediaș, enjoying the beautiful surroundings as we make our way to Bazna, where stunning views and delightful flavors await.

This easy hike features just one gentle slope and about 7 km through the forest, with breaks along the way to learn about the local flora and fauna. We'll also take time to sustainably collect wild garlic.

After the hike, we'll head straight to Bassen Pension, a local culinary gem, where we'll enjoy a delicious soup, cake, and a variety of dishes made with their freshly gathered wild garlic—giving you the full experience of local flavors!

Don’t forget to explore the pantry at Bassen Pension, where you can take photos and purchase some local treats (did someone mention "Bazna sausages"?).

We’ll end the day with a short walk through the Bazna-Bai resort, sprinkled with fascinating local legends (or are they facts?). Afterward, we'll return to Mediaș by minibus or taxi.
