“Ignat” is a Romanian tradition held before Christmas, when families prepare for the holidays by slaughtering the pig and cooking traditional winter dishes. It’s a communal ritual that blends food, heritage, and celebration.

At Gospodăria Cobor, Ignat becomes a heartfelt celebration of taste, tradition, and community in Țara Făgărașului. On December 20, starting at 12:00, guests are welcomed with traditional pork dishes, mulled wine, carols, and warm stories by the stove, along with small exhibitions and local artisan products. The event brings together the atmosphere of the old village, authentic winter flavors, and contemporary craftsmanship in a genuine celebration of community and the holiday season.
