From July 24th to 26th, 2026, the 31st edition of the "Sighisoara Medieval" Festival will take place – an anniversary edition that highlights the traditions and specific atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
For three days, the Medieval Citadel of Sighișoara will host concerts, medieval combat demonstrations, music, medieval theater and dance, street entertainment and activities for all ages.
The main stage of the festival will be located in the Citadel Square, where, among others, concerts by Țăndărică & Keo & Alina, Trooper, as well as Mircea Baniciu, Florin Săsărman and Adrian Ivanițchi will take place.
A novelty of this year's edition is the arrangement of the area dedicated to children in the vicinity of the City Hall of Sighișoara. The space will host interactive activities and workshops, historical board games, theater and percussion performances, characters on stilts, living statues and jesters.

On the streets and in the Citadel Square, the public will meet knights, ladies, minstrels, drummers and other characters who will be present in different areas of the Citadel during the three days of the festival. The program includes the Mercenaries of Asserculis, the Drummer of the Sighișoara Fortress, Silentium - the Fortress's Bocter and his Guard, the Knights of the Forest, Christian and Toni Haiducu with their two horses, the Peregrins, the Ladies of the Seal XXXI, Funny Art, the United Guilds and the Dragon Company.

This year's edition also brings a premiere: medieval fighting demonstrations supported by the Debreceni Történelmi Korok Hagyományőrző Egyesület from Hungary, a group that is participating for the first time at the "Sighișoara Medieval" Festival.

Also new for those who choose to come to the "Sighișoara Medieval" Festival is the gastronomic point in the Duck Square. Here we will have: a medieval picnic and tavern, as well as a local gastronomy workshop.

Admission to the "Sighișoara Medieval" Festival is free.
