After almost ten years of research, countless travels, exhibitions presented throughout Europe and the publication of the photographic album The Saxons of Transylvania at Overlapse, the project carried out by Pascual + Vincent returns to the place where it all began: Cincu / Großschenk.

For the Lolelor Cincu Museum, this exhibition has a special meaning. In 2017, with the revitalization of the Fuga Lolelor Cincu custom, Pascual and Vincent arrived in Cincu for the first time. A chance meeting turned into a journey of almost a decade of returns, built on research, dialogue, friendships and the trust of a community that opened its homes, family archives and stories.

Today, this circle closes but the road has a new beginning!
The Saxons of Transylvania returns to the village that gave birth to it, in an exhibition curated by Marlene Herberth and Alex Herberth and presented at the Urzelmuseum / Lolelor Cincu Museum. The exhibition puts contemporary visual art in dialogue with the cultural heritage of the Transylvanian Saxons, strengthening the connection between memory, identity and place.

The exhibition is made with the support of @acecultura, through the PICE Program for the Internationalization of Spanish Culture.
