Dear nature lovers,

On Saturday, February 18, we learn more about Târnave wine through an experience right in the old wine metropolis: Mediaș.
Join us on a short hike, following the Via Transilvanica markings, to a vineyard of the city located beyond the forest. Then we turn around to reach a wine shop and taste 3 assortments of white wines from 3 different wineries, here in "Weinland" (Wineland). We will make a short stop in front of Casa Caspari, which belonged to one of the families that found a solution to phylloxera, saving the vine plantations in Europe.
This experience is for those who are at least 18 years old and want a short and easy hike followed by a sensory experience.

WHEN AND WHERE CAN WE MEET?
At 9:45 a.m., near the Via Transilvanica junction in front of the Sf Margareta Evangelical Church.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Hiking boots;
Seasonal clothing – hat, waterproof jacket;
Water/tea bottle, minimum 1L;
Snack.
Recommendation: trekking poles and binoculars.

COSTS
130 lei/adult. The price includes the guide and wine tasting.
The number of places available is limited to 14 people.
For children up to 14 years of age, participation in the hike is free, provided they are accompanied by an adult (parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route for children).

The "Hiking Years" program is initiated and financed by the Sibiu County Council, in collaboration with the Sibiu County Tourism Association. The main goal is to improve the hiking infrastructure in the county and to promote activities specific to ecotourism.
