Dear hikers,

We will depart from Sibiu using personal cars and travel together to the village of Alma Vii, recently a finalist in the “Destination of the Year 2026” competition. The hike will start بالقرب the fortified church, where we will park and head southwest, then continue southeast towards the village of Metiș. Once we reach the hilltop, we’ll take a short break (for hydration and possibly a snack), then continue along a forest road and later on a trail through the woods back to Alma Vii. Upon returning to the village, we will stop at the UNESCO-listed fortified church, where a culinary surprise awaits: homemade doughnuts, lemonade, water, and coffee, served in a charming setting among fruit trees near the citadel entrance.

‼️ The hike is suitable for people with متوسط or above-average fitness levels and for children aged 6+ who have previous hiking experience.

🕢 **WHERE & WHEN WE MEET**
If you are in Sibiu, we meet on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 08:30, in the parking lot of Hobby Mobilă store (Ștefan cel Mare Street no. 195, exit towards Agnita). From there, we will travel by car on the route Sibiu – Zlagna – Alma Vii and park near the fortified church. At the end of the hike, we will return to the same location.
If you are already in the Transylvanian Hills area, you can come directly to the fortified church in Alma Vii, but don’t forget to reserve your spot with the organizers.

Elevation gain: 230 m
Difficulty: easy to moderate
Hiking duration: approx. 5–6 hours (7–8 hours including transport from/to Sibiu)

👉🏻 **REQUIRED EQUIPMENT**
Hiking boots or shoes with good grip; spare footwear in the car
Season-appropriate clothing, including a waterproof layer; spare T-shirt
Small backpack; cap/hat; sunglasses
Water or tea (minimum 1 liter)
Snack for a mid-hike break (sandwich, pastry, something sweet like chocolate or an energy bar)
Trekking poles can be helpful

👉🏻 **TRANSPORT**
We can provide round-trip transport (Sibiu – Alma Vii) for a limited number of participants. For reservations, please call +40 722 177 001 after registration.
A WhatsApp group will be created to organize car sharing. Transport costs will be shared among passengers (approx. 40–50 RON/person).

👉🏻 **COSTS**
70 RON/adult; 30 RON/student (over 12) or university student; free for children aged 6–12.
The price does NOT include the 30 RON culinary experience at the end, which is mandatory and paid directly at the fortified church in Alma Vii.
The hike will take place with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children aged 6+ may participate if accompanied by an adult (parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty for their children).
