On Friday afternoon, September 11, we’re wrapping up the work week in a different way!
We’ll set off from Mediaș along the Via Transilvanica towards Bazna to enjoy the forest and attend a Taizé evening at the fortified church in Bazna!
At 6:30 PM, we’ll take a guided tour of the church, followed by a meditative session at 7:00 PM.
At 7:40 PM, we’ll have a small picnic in the churchyard. Tea and cakes are provided, but we ask participants to bring a small snack to share with the group.
The hike is easy—featuring plenty of shade and only one uphill stretch—covering about 7 km through the forest.
𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭:
4:00 PM – opposite the entrance to St. Margaret’s Church (George Enescu Square, Mediaș)
Parking is available for 12 vehicles.

Difficulty: easy;
Distance: 7 km one-way (we will return by car);
Elevation gain: approx. 200 m;
Total hike duration: approximately 3 hours.

45 RON/person – includes guiding services. The return trip from Bazna will be by taxi or minibus and is to be paid for separately (approx. 20 RON per person).
Children up to 14 years of age participate for free.
