Dear nature lovers,

We will start from the Hoghilag exit towards the village of Prod, where we will leave the cars, and briefly follow a communal road, then enter the forest. We will follow a winding path, trying to stay as much as possible in the shelter of the trees, and we will only exit the forest near the entrance to Prod. Immediately after entering the village we will follow the South direction, past a lake, and enter the forest again. We will follow a path on the side of the hill, at one point turning to the South-West, and after descending, we will soon reach the place where we left the cars.
For the effort made, we will reward ourselves with a visit to the fortified Church of Hoghilag and take the opportunity to participate in the Tuberose Festival, an event that fills the village with color and fragrance.
The hike is suitable for physically fit people and children at least 10 years old, who have traveled mountain trails before.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
For those coming from Sibiu, we meet in the morning, at 08:30, in the parking lot of the Hornbach store in Calea Șurii Mari no. 37, at the exit to Șura Mare.
For those coming from elsewhere, we meet in Hoghilag and we will park at the exit of the village towards Prod. At the end of the shift, we will recover the cars from there as well.

Difference in level: 350 m
Trail difficulty: easy to medium
Duration of the hike: approximately 4 hours; including transfer to/from Hoghilag approximately 7-8 hours

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Grip-soled hiking boots;
Clothes adapted to the season, including a final waterproof layer; change T-shirt or blouse;
Small rucksack, sunglasses, cap or hard hat;
Bottle of water / tea, minimum 1 l.;
Snack for a mid-route break.
Trekking poles can be helpful.

COSTS
70 lei/adult or child over 14 years old. Children under 14 are free.
The tour will be held with a minimum of 10 adult participants.
Children from 5 years and above can participate, provided they are accompanied by an adult (parents are responsible for assessing the difficulty of the route for children).

TRANSPORT
We can provide round-trip transport of a no. limited by people. To reserve a place, please contact us by phone at no. 0722-177001, after registering.
After completing the registration process, the guide will create a whatsapp group that we will organize / redistribute in the cars of those who come by car. Their transport costs will be jointly covered by the occupants of the respective car (the approximate cost will be approx. 15 lei / person).
