Dear Hikers,

We invite you to participate on Saturday, June 10, 2023, in a different experience: we will explore a small part of Hârtibaciului Valley, namely the surroundings of Nocrich village.

In addition to the hike, we will enjoy a pottery workshop, and in the evening we will participate in the Light Festival at the Nocrich Research Center. Those who wish will be able to visit the Evangelical Church in the village, Nocrich being also the place where the memorial house of Samuel von Brukenthal, baron and governor of Transylvania in the century was located. XVIII.

WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
We will meet after lunch, at 2:00 p.m., in Sibiu, in the Gazprom parking lot (in the gas station at the Semaforului roundabout with Ștefan cel Mare) from where we will group by car.
Those who come directly to Nocrich, the meeting will take place in the center, near the Evangelical Church, at 14:45. There we will group up and go to participate in the pottery workshop at the Nocrich Research Center.

After the workshop we will go on a hike on the wonderful hills in the surroundings of Nocrich. We will go down at sunset to light the cuckoos with light, as part of the Festival of Light. Good will, cool people and lemonade will spice up the evening. You're welcome!

Trail difficulty: easy
Duration of the hike: approximately 4 hours (round trip), includes short breaks.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
Boots with grippy soles
Seasonal hiking clothing: blouse/bodysuit, seasonal windproof and waterproof jacket;
Cap/hat;
Trekking poles (recommended)
Backpack to keep a change of blouse/t-shirt, change of socks;
Sunglasses;
Insect spray;
Sunscreen cream;
Thermos with tea/ water bottle (minimum 1l);
Snacks (sandwiches, bars, fruit)

* The cost also includes a workshop within the Ceramica de Nocrich program of the Nocrich Research Center, accessible from small to large.
