Dear Hikers,
Join us on Saturday, August 5, we set off on a hike in the Transylvanian Hills. We meet Valchid, from where we reach relatively quickly up, on the ridge of the hill, and take it south through a wonderful oak forest. We reach a pasture, next to Copșa Mare, we admire the landscape, but we take a left, on Via Transilvanica, towards Nou Săsesc.
In terms of difficulty, the hike is designed for beginners and intermediates – or for those who want a day in nature without the difficulties of mountain terrain. The difference in level is not very big, the slopes are not steep, but a minimum resistance is required to walk a long way (it is about 16 km).
We recommend it because of the special landscapes, either from the top of the hill or from the bottom of the valley.
WHERE AND WHEN DO WE MEET?
Meeting: 9:00 a.m., at Mediaș Train Station - for those who also want transport
Or 9.30, at the fortified church in Valchid, for those who already have transport
The experience is designed in such a way that it starts from Mediaș by minibus and returns to Mediaș by minibus. If there are people who want to start from Valchid, they will have the Nou Săssesc - Valchid transport provided.
