Sometimes, there is but a single line between nature and culture.
"Linea lignea," the new exhibition by artist Irina Neacsu at the King’s House in Viscri, takes the line as its starting point—as a drawing, a path, a trace, and a way of viewing the world.
It also begins with wood: at times living matter and part of the landscape, at others an object crafted by human hands—a bearer of gestures, craftsmanship, and memories.
Through graphite, collage, stitching, and objects, *Linea lignea* speaks of the meeting between nature and culture, as well as the fragility of a world that is slowly changing—sometimes almost without us noticing.
It is an exhibition that does not attempt to provide all the answers; rather, it invites us to look more closely.
