We invite you to return to Boița and experience a magical autumn landscape. Although it's November, the warm colors of fall still linger, ready to enchant us once more. We'll also explore the small hamlet of Răcorele, hoping to meet again the two elderly residents who, with resilience and love for these places, continue to call it home.

Our hike will follow a path used by locals, leading us to the summit of Răvicuței in the Lotru Mountains. The scenery is spectacular, typical of the Mărginimea region, with hay barns, sheepfolds, and breathtaking views made even more vivid by the colors of autumn. We'll see the Suru Peak from a new perspective, admire Cozia in the distance over the Olt Valley, and be awed by the snow-covered ridge of Sterpu Peak to the south.

As in all our hikes from Boița, we’ll enjoy views over the Olt River as it enters the gorge. The trail will be filled with captivating stories and insights into the area's rich history, given that this village lies at the southern border of Transylvania.

For a little extra delight, hikers can enjoy an aromatic coffee and a sweet treat in a spot with a superb panorama.

This is a moderately challenging route, covering 14 kilometers with a 700-meter elevation gain. At times, the trail traverses steeper sections through the forest, so participants should have a good physical condition and some basic mountain hiking experience.
