Between August 26 and September 6, 2022, the village of Cincșor is once again the host of the International Visual Art Residency, now in its 4th edition. The proposed theme - Face to face - challenges the eight invited artists to find their inspiration starting from the history and contemporary realities of the place where they are, with an emphasis on the need of the current communities in the Transylvanian villages to (re)find themselves a common identity, in the context of depopulation determined by the exodus of the Saxons, economic transformations and migration.
The curator of the event is Elisabeth Ochsenfeld, visual artist and curator, founder of the Arthouse Wolfsberg/Gărâna Art Residency and the Ochsenfeld Residency Award in Frankfurt/Heidelberg.
Participating artists: Marian Coman (Romania), Amalia Dulhan (Romania), Maxim Dumitraș (Romania), Annette Fournet (USA), Adrian Ioniță (Romania), Elisabeth Ochsenfeld (Germany), Cristian Opriș (Romania) and Inga Shalvashvili (Georgia) .
They are joined by four special guests: writers Iris Wolff and Horst Samson (Germany), literary and art critic Sorina Jecza - president of the Interact Triade Foundation, and documentarian Olimpiu Vuia who will be the "chronicler" of the creative process during the residency.

Event supported by the Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany in Sibiu, within the program of 30 years of Romanian-German friendship and partnership in Europe.
