“Cathedrals of Sound” is a series of five classical music concerts, performed by baritone Alexandru Chiriac, harpist Miruna Nagy and cellist Radu Nagy.
“Cathedrals of Sound” is an journey into the world of great musical geniuses – creators of sound monuments that have crossed the ages. The program includes works from Bach to contemporary composers and reflects the expression of contemplation of religious feelings, connection with nature and human emotions expressed throughout time. Through compositions such as “Ave Maria” by Caccini, “Passacaglia” by Handel or “Pas de deux” by Tchaikovsky and “Song of the birds” by Casals, the selection offers the audience a soulful journey, to rediscover the peace, contemplation and uplifting emotions of sacred music, but also the tumultuous experiences of romantic music.
The repertoire will include the following compositions: J. S. Bach – Sicilianno; J. S. Bach - Bist Du bei mir; G. Caccini - Ave Maria; G. F. Handel – Passacaglia; F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy - Es ist genug; C. Saint-Saens - Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix; P. I. Tchaikovsky - Pas de deux; N. Boulanger – Cantique; Z. Kodaly – Adagio; P. Casals - Song of the Birds; R. Lificio - Ombra di nube; A. Stradella - Signore Square; F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy - Herr Gott Abrahams.
