Cobor Farm

At Cobor Biodiversity Farm, a meal is part of a wider experience exploring the connection between food, landscape and biodiversity. Developed by Foundation Conservation Carpathia, the farm demonstrates how high-nature-value grasslands can be managed in a way that supports wildlife conservation, local livelihoods and the production of quality food at the same time. The kitchen relies largely on local produce and ingredients from the farm’s own garden, while products such as milk, eggs, honey, potatoes and meat are sourced from farmers in Cobor and the surrounding area. A meal can be combined with a farm visit, encounters with the animals, birdwatching or walks through the surrounding grasslands and towards the local beaver dams. It is a place for travellers who want to experience how responsible tourism can directly support the conservation of a living rural landscape.
