Alma Calma Guesthouse
Strada Principală 106, 557161 Alma Vii, Romania
AlmaCalma is a Saxon house more than 170 years old, carefully restored using traditional materials and techniques. Located in the heart of Alma Vii, directly opposite the fortified church, the house is a peaceful retreat for travellers looking for simplicity, tranquillity and the beauty of Transylvania experienced at a slower pace.
Its four rooms – Pax, Nemus, Lumen and Nidus – each have their own character and offer views of the fortified church or the garden. Old wooden beams, thick walls, a fireplace decorated with locally made tiles and natural materials are combined with contemporary comfort. Guests also have access to a shared kitchenette, a garden filled with flowers and fruit trees, hammocks and a traditional barn used as a space for relaxation and small events.
AlmaCalma is particularly suited to guests interested in slow travel, nature and rural heritage. A path behind the garden leads towards the surrounding hills and forests, while hiking and cycling routes, the Via Transilvanica trail and several fortified churches can be explored nearby. Days here may be spent reading in a hammock, walking through the village or simply enjoying the rare pleasure of having nowhere to rush.
