It lives along flowing waters, meadow forests, meadows, forest edges or lights, rocks and canyons, along forest roads, unpaved roads, in warm, sunny, slightly humid places, with flowering plants all summer, at altitudes of 700 to 1000 m. 

It prefers the high vegetation rich in holy rope, common self-heal, dwarf elder, sage or creeping thistle - it love the nectar of these plants. 

It flies from July to August. 

High density areas: in most of the localities inside the site, along the streams and at the edges of semi-brush forests of Valea Sapartocului, Angofa, Stejărenii, Mihai Viteazu, Roadeş, Criș, Apold, Bunești, Viscri.
