The Haferland Week Festival, the biggest event dedicated to the promotion of Saxon culture in Transylvania, returns in 2024 for the 12th edition.
🌿 We invite you to the authentic fairy tale land, in Oatland, to celebrate Saxon history and traditions, carefully preserved here, in the heart of the country.

10.00 - 11.00 - Service in the Evangelical Church C.A. from Rupea, officiated by Prof. Dr. Berthold Köber
with priest Danielis Mare, musical accompaniment Prof. Univ. Ursula Philippi
11.00 - 11.45 - Concert in the Evangelical Church C.A. from Rupea, coordinated by Prof. Ursula
Philippi on the organ, accompanied by Prof. Schuster Horst - clarinet and
Mr. Schoell Michael - Trumpet.
11.45 - 12.00 - Brass band music at the exit from the church: Kulturwerk Bayern

Location: Rupea City Citadel (transport with the two minibuses of the Rupea City Hall)
12.00 - 13.30 - Speeches of the guests of honor
13.30 - 14.30 - Traditional Saxon brass bands:
- Kulturwerk Bayern
- Original Karpaten-Express
- Jugendblaskapelle Kronstadt - conductor Mathias Roos
14.30 - 15.00 - Parade of traditional Saxon costumes
15.00 - 16.00 - Demonstration of medieval battles and medieval dances
16.00 - 16.30 - Traditional Saxon dances - The dance group of the Rupea German School,
coordinated by Ms. Laura Schenker-Arpatacean and Mr. Emerich Barfuss
