Saturday, March 22, we invite you to experience something different—a hike and a unique, playful visit to the fortified church of Mălâncrav, followed by a walk through the surrounding hills and a sweet, traditional treat to end the day.

Meeting point: At the entrance to the fortified church area in Mălâncrav, near the iron gate.

We’ll start by climbing up to the church, where, for 30 minutes, we’ll explore it through an architectural treasure hunt. Using clues, participants will uncover unique elements of the church, its history, and the local community.

Next, we’ll have an official guided tour of the church. We’ll also take a walk around the nearby Apafi Manor, admiring its facade and the restoration work carried out by the Mihai Eminescu Trust years ago.

After that, we’ll set off on a leisurely circular hike through the hills and forests surrounding the village. Once back in Mălâncrav, we’ll relax at a Local Gastronomic Point, where we’ll enjoy a homemade dessert and a cup of tea or coffee.
