We have prepared a very special event for you in the heart of Transylvania, at Copșa Mare 122 local gastronomic point.
Join us for a Saxon experience in the picturesque village of Copșa Mare, 20 km away Sighișoara and Mediaș, in a location of undeniable beauty.

Saturday, July 𝟏𝟓th, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑, at 𝟏𝟎:𝟎𝟎, we open the doors of the blue house, located just 2 km away from the Biertan UNESCO site, not far from the entrance to Via Transilvanica - Terra Saxonum sector.
We propose a beautiful foray into the life of the Transylvanian village. You will discover local people, their crafts, traditional architecture well preserved over time and you will enjoy nature, culinary experiences with local products and the Saxon cultural heritage.

The program of the day:
🔸 Welcome brunch with local products: lard pâté, zacusca and eggplant salad, local meatballs, bread and a selection of white cheese, seasonal vegetables and fresh elder, mint and lemon juice
🔸 Guided tour of Copșa Mare 122 with detailed information about the importance of a local gastronomic point for peasant families;
🔸 Felter workshop supported by Mr. Ilie Iordan, local craftsman;
🔸 Bread-making workshop in a wood-fired oven, with Simona & Sile, our dear hosts;
🔸 Guided visit to the fortified church in Copșa Mare;
🔸 Tour of the village with a horse-drawn cart, with a stop at the viewpoint (in case of rainy weather, the tour is organized on foot, only for those who wish, with appropriate clothing and footwear);
🔸 Lunch: gooseberry soup, traditional ”sarmale” with polenta and cream, traditional deserts, tea, coffee, elder, mint and lemon juice, water;
🔸 Before the end of the event each participant receives a culinary treat upon departure (a delicious elderberry syrup and freshly made bread);
Throughout the event, you will be able to buy honey and bee products from Mr. Ioan Cristian Bica, the Orthodox priest from the village of Copșa Mare, who is passionate about beekeeping and everything that cares about bees.
